About

Who We Are

Established to serve the needs of unionized labor in the construction industry, the Building and Construction Trades Council represents 16 affiliate local union trades. Our affiliates encompass a wide range of skilled trades. Each union brings its own expertise and commitment to excellence, contributing to the collective strength of our council.

Community Involvement

We believe in giving back to the communities we serve. Our members actively participate in various community projects, job fairs, and educational programs. By partnering with local schools and organizations, we provide training and apprenticeship opportunities that help build a skilled workforce for the future. Our involvement extends to political advocacy, where we endorse candidates and policies that support labor rights and the interests of working families.

Training and Apprenticeships

The Building and Construction Trades Council is committed to providing high-quality training and apprenticeship programs. Our Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3) pre-apprenticeship program introduces participants to various trades, preparing them for successful careers in the construction industry. We also offer ongoing education and certification programs to ensure our members stay at the forefront of industry advancements.

Our Impact

Through our efforts, we have made significant contributions to the local economy and improved the quality of life for workers and their families. Our advocacy for fair wages and safe working conditions has led to better job security and career opportunities for our members. The projects we support, such as the upcoming wind turbine farm, reflect our commitment to sustainable development and innovation.
